1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Painting courses, workshops and other activities as described on the Mixarts website are based on classical teaching methods, adapted to the students’ current needs.

2. MATERIALS
Students provide their own materials. No materials are provided by Mixarts, except as expressly specified. No materials belonging to students may be left in the studio, with the exception of canvases that are works-in-progress.

3. PAYMENT
Courses must be paid for prior to the start of the semester in order to guarantee a reserved place for the entire semester.

A fee of $35 is applied to cheques with insufficient funds in addition to the noted amount on the cheque. Failure to respect this will result in future payments being accepted in cash only.

4. ABSENCES AND MISSED COURSES
Missed classes may be ‘made up’ within the current semester during the regular schedule only if space permits.

Students are asked to advise of absences in advance.

Missed classes CANNOT be made up in subsequent semesters.

Missed classes are not reimbursed.

5. TRANSFERS
Classes or workshops may NOT be transferred to another party.

6. STORAGE AND RECUPERATION
Only canvases that are works-in-progress and which are clearly identified may be stored on Mixarts’ premises between classes.

All such canvases and materials must be reclaimed by their owners within a reasonable delay once finished or at the end of the semester, whichever comes first.

Failing to respect these policies may result in Mixarts disposing of the work(s) as it sees fit or charging additional administrative and storage fees that the student must pay prior to recuperating their work.

7. STORAGE SERVICE

Note that Mixarts offers a storage service for additional fees.

8. LICENSE TO PUBLISH
Unless expressly forbidden in writing:

8.1 The student authorizes Mixarts, at no charge, to expose his/ her work on Mixarts’ premises or elsewhere for a duration to be determined with the student. Further, Mixarts students authorize, without limit to duration of whereabouts and at no charge, reproduction and display their works in order to promote Mixarts.

8.2 Mixarts’ students authorize Mixarts at no charge to photograph their works for publication on the Mixarts website, Facebook account or other display media for publicity and promotional purposes without limit to duration or location.

9. WORKSHOP ETHICS AND PRACTICES
As part of its educational practices, Mixarts values the respect for each student and his or her own pace of learning. In this spirit, Mixarts expects students to demonstrate the same respect for their peers, professionals and administrative staff of Mixarts school.

Respect for the environment and materials are equally required. Mixarts reserves the right to terminate the enrollment of any person who fails to respect these ETHICS and PRACTICES policies. In such a case, the student will be refunded according to the TERMINATION policies noted below.

10. COURSES CANCELED BY MIXARTS

In the last case, students can, at their own choice, be welcomed to a class scheduled for another time subject to availability or reimbursed as specified below: In the case of a course cancelled prior to the beginning of classes, the entire amount paid by the student will be reimbursed.

11. TERMINATION BY STUDENT
